Atomic energy agency officials are to meet with Iranian representatives in Vienna on August 24 to discuss remaining "outstanding issues" surrounding Tehran's nuclear program.

The announcement was made by the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) on August 21.

The talks, to be attended by senior IAEA officials, will take place just a few days before the UN agency is due to issue its latest quarterly report on Iran's disputed nuclear program.

The IAEA has been pressuring Iran to permit its investigations at Iranian sites suspected of involvement in atomic-weapons research.

The Islamic republic denies any effort to develop a nuclear weapon.
