Police and medical sources say at least eight people, including three police officers, were killed in the incident.
There was no immediate claim of responsibility for the attacks, but Al-Qaeda often deploys suicide bombers.
According to the monitoring group Iraq Body Count, more than 7,000 people have been killed in violence in Iraq so far this year.
