At Least Eight Killed In Iraq Attacks

At least eight people have been reported killed in Iraqi violence.

Officials said a car bomb in a shopping area in southeastern Baghdad killed at least three people and wounded at least nine.

Three security personnel were reported killed when a car bomb exploded in the city of Kirkuk.

Two civilians were reported killed when unknown gunmen shot at their car in the city of Mosul.

The incidents come as Iraq prepares to host an Arab League summit in late March.

The event will be Iraq's first pan-Arab conference in more than two decades.

Last week, at least 60 people were killed and hundreds injured in a spate of attacks across the country, which the government blamed on Al-Qaeda.
