Iraqi Bomb Attacks Kill Five People

A series of bomb attacks mostly targeting security forces has killed five people across Iraq and wounded several more.

Security and medical officials said there were deaths in Fallujah, west of Baghdad; in Iskandiriyah, south of Baghdad; and in the town of Himreen, in eastern Diyala province.

Violence across Iraq is down from its peaks in 2006 and 2007, but attacks remain common.

According to official figures, 126 Iraqis were killed in April.
