Israeli Air Strikes Kill Three Palestinians

Reports from the Gaza Strip say Israeli air strikes have killed at least three people -- two Palestinian militants and a teenager -- and injured some 30 others.

Israel's military has confirmed it had attacked six sites, including what one Israeli military official called a direct hit on a militant as he was about to launch a rocket into Israel.

The Israeli claim could not be independently confirmed.

Over the past four days, some 120 rockets have been fired from Gaza into Israel, and Israel has launched scores of retaliatory raids.

China on March 12 urged Israel to stop its air raids and called on both sides to implement a cease-fire.

The Chinese call came ahead of planned talks later this week between Chinese officials and Israel's foreign minister.
