Two Russian cosmonauts and a U.S. astronaut have blasted off for the International Space Station (ISS).
Gennady Padalka, Sergei Revin and Joseph Acaba are due to reach the ISS on May 16.
The launch of the Soyuz FG rocket from the Baikonur Cosmodrome in Kazakhstan was the first manned flight from Baikonur since December and had been delayed by more than 40 days due to the need for more safety checks.
Russian space controllers reported the spacecraft was successfully put into orbit and on schedule for its link-up with the ISS.
