Kazakh Activists Cancel Event On Political Persecution After Detentions

Organizers said they would try again on September 27.

Organizers said they would try again on September 27. Police did not comment but the Prosecutor-General's Office had warned people not to attend the rally, saying those who violated the law on peaceful assembly would face up to 25 days in jail.
