Kazakhstan has banned a video showing Kazakh children alleging they were preparing to fight alongside Islamist militants in Syria.
In its statement on November 24, the Prosecutor-General's Office warned media outlets and Internet users about "possible legal consequences" for distributing the video, saying it carries terrorism propaganda.
Britain's "Daily Mail" newspaper posted the video on its website on November 22, which features children who present themselves as Kazakh nationals.
In the clip, which is in Arabic and Kazakh with Russian and English subtitles, the children say they are getting ready for "jihad “and "killing infidels."
Last year, a video circulated on the Internet showing Kazakh families that had allegedly moved from Kazakhstan to join Islamist militants in Syria.
Last week, Kazakh authorities said some 300 Kazakh citizens, including 150 women, were fighting alongside Islamic State militants in Syria and Iraq.
