On a visit to Islamabad on January 13, U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry praised Pakistan's antiterror military operations in North Waziristan and elsewhere. But Kerry added that Pakistan must keep up its efforts to curb the threats posed by the Taliban and the Haqqani network. He also raised concerns about recent violence on the border with India, and called for renewed negotiations toward a peaceful resolution. (Reuters)
