Kuwaiti Prime Minister Visits Iraq For First Time Since War

Kuwaiti Prime Minister Sheikh Nasser Mohammad al-Ahmad al-Sabah has arrived in Baghdad, marking the first visit by a Kuwaiti prime minister to Iraq since Saddam Hussein's forces invaded Kuwait in August 1990.

Iraqi forces were expelled by an international coalition seven months later.

Iraq still pays reparations to Kuwait.

Sabah's visit comes two days after a clash between Iraqi fishermen and the Kuwaiti Coast Guard on January 10 in which a Kuwaiti was killed and an Iraqi fishing boat sunk.
