Injuries In London Theater Collapse

Emergency services in London say around 75 people were injured, some of them seriously, when part of a theater ceiling collapsed.

No deaths were reported from the sudden collapse during the December 19 evening performance at the Apollo Theatre in central London.

Emergency services said 76 people were wounded, including seven who were seriously injured.

Paramedics said 51 people were taken to hospital with minor injuries, while others who were hurt were treated at the scene.

More than 700 people were believed inside the 112-year-old theater when the collapse occurred.

Police said the cause of the collapse was unclear, but there was no indication it could have been the result of a deliberate act or attack.
