London Mayor Complains Over 'Terrible' Heathrow Delays

Staying long, are you?

London's mayor has warned that long delays for foreign passengers arriving at Heathrow international airport risk damaging Britain's reputation in the run-up to this summer's London Olympic Games.

Mayor Boris Johnson, in a letter to Home Secretary Theresa May, said lengthy queues at Heathrow are leaving a "terrible impression" and called for urgent action to resolve the tie-ups.

Reports say passengers from outside the 30-country European Economic Area have in some cases been forced to wait in lines for up to two hours before officers check their documents and pass them through Heathrow border controls.
