U.S. Wins Second Game At Ice Hockey Championships

At the world ice hockey championships in Minsk, the United States won their second game, beating Switzerland 3-2 in Group B.

Elsewhere on May 10, Canada came back from an opening loss to France to beat Slovakia 4-1 in a Group A encounter.

In other games, Germany beat Kazakhstan 2-1 in overtime in Group B. In the same group, Latvia upset Finland 3-2.

In Group A, Sweden beat Denmark 3-0, and Norway beat Italy by the same score.

The games are a first for Belarus, which has built two arenas to host them.

But the choice of Minsk has proved controversial due to the poor human rights record of President Alyaksandr Lukashenka.
