Nemtsov's Daughter Requests Questioning Of Kadyrov

Zhanna Nemtsova, the daughter of the slain Kremlin opponent Boris Nemtsov, has called on Russian investigators to interrogate the head of the Russian region of Chechnya, Ramzan Kadyrov.

Nemtsova's lawyer, Vadim Prokhorov, told TASS on April 28 that she also wants nine of Kadyrov's associates to be interrogated in connection with the assassination of her father in Moscow last year.

Nemtsova, a Deutsche Welle reporter and founder of the Boris Nemtsov Foundation, moved from Russia to Germany after her father was shot dead on February 27, 2015, near the Kremlin.

Several men from Chechnya have been arrested and charged in the case.

But Nemtsov's relatives and lawyers have expressed skepticism about the official probe, insisting the killing must have been ordered by high-ranking Russian officials.
