A bomb planted outside a shopping center in southwestern Pakistan has killed at least one person and wounded more than 10 others.

Most of the wounded were women and children who were shopping for the Muslim festival of Eid al-Fitr.

The blast occurred on August 7 in the Mastung district, 50 kilometers south of Quetta, the capital of Baluchistan Province.

Local officials said the person killed in the attack was a 12-year-old girl.

Some reports say the blast also killed a second child and a woman.

There was no immediate claim of responsibility for the attack, which comes after gunmen killed 13 bus passengers at a fake checkpoint in Baluchistan on August 5.

The province is home to separatists fighting for autonomy and has also seen sectarian violence between Pakistan's majority Sunni Muslims and Shi'a.
