Pakistani police say they found explosives near the house of the country's former president and army chief, Pervez Musharraf, two days before he is to appear in court in a treason case.
Police officials said they defused 2.5 kilograms of explosives planted beside a road leading to Islamabad from a suburb where Musharraf lives.
Police officials said it wasn't clear who had planted the explosives.
Musharraf is accused of high treason and several other charges relating to his 1999-2008 rule.
He is scheduled to appear before a court on January 1.
His previous court hearing on December 24 was postponed due to a bomb scare.
