The man who is expected to be Pakistan’s next prime minister says he will end the country’s involvement in the U.S.-led war on terrorism if he is elected.
Nawaz Sharif told the BBC that the move is necessary for peace in Pakistan and the world.

He did not specify whether he would stop all of Pakistan’s military operations against the Taliban and Al-Qaeda.
