Pakistan's Supreme Court has ordered a second investigation against the prime minister.
The court on January 24 ordered an investigation against Raja Pervez Ashraf and other senior officials for appointing and then allegedly helping a senior former official to flee Pakistan.
Tauqir Sadiq, the former head of the oil and gas regulatory authority, is accused of embezzling some $850 million in commissions and kickbacks.
Ashraf is already involved in a much-publicized court case about alleged corruption in government's contracts to buy electricity from private power plants in 2009 when he was the energy minister.
Senior government leaders accuse the court of engaging in a politically motivated campaign to undermine their administration.
In March, Ashraf's ruling coalition will become the first elected civilian government in the country's history to complete a full term in office.
