Pakistan To Deport Bin Laden's Family

Demolition work is carried out in February on the building where Al-Qaeda leader Osama bin Laden was killed by U.S. special forces in Abbottabad.

Pakistani officials have confirmed that Osama bin Laden's family is expected to be deported from Pakistan early on April 18.

Bin Laden's family -- consisting of three wives, eight children, and one grandchild -- were detained by Pakistani authorities after the Al-Qaeda leader was killed in a raid by U.S. special forces in the northern town of Abbottabad, near Islamabad, in May 2011.

News on the deportation comes after the family completed a brief sentence in detention for illegally entering and residing in Pakistan.

They are expected to be flown to Saudi Arabia.
