French Prime Minister Manuel Valls says police have identified the third gunman involved in the deadly November 13 terrorist attack on the Bataclan concert hall in Paris -- a French-born national from the city of Strasbourg.
The attacker, 23-year-old Foued Mohammad-Aggad, blew himself up with an explosives-packed suicide belt during the attack and was identified because his mother helped the authorities identify his remains.
His father, Said Mohammad-Aggad, told AFP on December 9 that he "would have killed him" if he had known what his son had been planning.
The father said he had not seen his son since he travelled to war-torn Syria with his brother Karim and a group of friends from Strasbourg at the end of 2013.
The family feared his son had been involved in the attacks when they received a text message from Syria saying he had died as "a martyr" along with "his brothers on November 13."
Two other attackers who killed 90 people at the Bataclan during a rock concert -- 29-year-old Omar Ismail Mostefai and 28-year-old former Paris bus driver Samy Amimour -- had also traveled to Syria.
