Russian businessman Sergei Polonsky, who is wanted by Moscow for alleged corruption, is ready to make a deal with investigators and return to Russia from Cambodia.

Polonsky's lawyer, Aleksandr Karabanov, said on November 6 his client had filed papers related to his readiness to conclude the deal.

Polonsky and two associates were arrested in Cambodia last year after local sailors claimed the Russian property developer had beaten them. Polonsky spent three months in Cambodia in detention and later fled to Israel, where he unsuccessfully tried to get Israeli citizenship.

In August, Russian authorities issued an international arrest warrant for Polonsky on embezzlement charges.

Polonsky is notorious for his eccentric statements and actions. In 2011, he made headlines after prominent media magnate Aleksandr Lebedev punched him during a live television program.
