Kosovo's police say a Serbian man was killed in the country's west in an ambush that also left the man's son wounded.
Police spokesman Hazir Berisha told Reuters that the man, Acko Putnik, and his son Dobrica were attacked as they exited a bar in the Albanian-majority Zerze village on October 1.
He said there have been no arrests as of yet and the motive for the killing remains unclear.
Also on October 2, a Serbian mayor of the town of Oprahovac, which is in the country's south, denounced the killing as ethnically motivated.
Around 60,000 Serbs now live in Kosovo, a region that declared independence in 2008.
The move was not recognized by neighboring Serbia, whose government lost control of the area during a 1999 NATO bombing.
