Pope Francis spent the third day of his visit to Romania -- June 2 -- in the city of Blaj. In an open-air mass, he beatified seven Romanian Greek-Catholic bishops who died in prison during the communist regime. Greek-Catholics share some features with Orthodox Christians but are part of the Roman-Catholic Church. The pontiff then proceeded to Barbu Lautaru, a neighborhood of Blaj inhabited by the Romany community.
