Republican Lawmaker Slams 'Theatrical' Impeachment Proceedings

Devin Nunes, the top Republican member of the U.S. House Intelligence Committee, condemned the impeachment inquiry into President Donald Trump as a "televised theatrical performance" in opening remarks at the first public hearing in Washington on November 13. Referring to an earlier inquiry into Russian interference in the 2016 U.S. election, he said the "Russia hoax" was being followed by a "low-rent Ukrainian sequel."
