Roadside Bomb Kills 5 Afghan Civilians

Afghan officials say a roadside bomb has killed five civilians in southern Afghanistan.

The attack happened on December 5 in the Choray district of Uruzgan province.

A spokesman for the provincial police said one woman and four children died and another six passengers were wounded when the bomb struck the minibus they were traveling in.

No one has claimed responsibility for the blast but the Taliban rely heavily on the use of roadside bombs.

Civilians are regularly the victims of the bombs laid by Taliban-led insurgents targeting Afghan and international forces.
