Russian Gas Blast Kills Five

Russian authorities say four people have died in a gas explosion in a nine-story apartment building in the village of Zagorskiye Dali, in the Moscow region.

Rescuers said at least seven others were hospitalized, including one who was airlifted and is in serious condition.

One survivor was reportedly rescued from under the rubble.

Local authorities said there still could be at least more two people trapped under the debris in damaged apartments.

The deputy chairman of the regional administration, Dmitry Pestov, said there were more than 240 rescue workers at the scene and that special lights had been brought in so search efforts could continue through the night, if needed.
