Moscow's relations with Ankara took a dramatic downturn last November when Turkish forces shot down a Russian plane near the Syrian border in November. Russia imposed sanctions and cut off charter flights. But officials have now announced that Turkish vacation packages will be allowed once again, and Russian tourists are lining up to return to the once-popular holiday destination.
