Putin’s Press Secretary Earned More Than Boss In 2012

The Kremlin website has posted the 2012 incomes of top officials and the information shows President Vladimir Putin’s press secretary earned more money than Putin.

The Russian president’s income for 2012 was posted on April 12 and is reported to be 5,790,823 rubles (some $187,000).

His press secretary Dmitry Peskov reportedly earned 6,366,735 rubles (some $205,000).

Russian news agency ITAR-TASS pointed out that Putin’s income in 2012 was some 2 million rubles more than he earned in 2011 (3.7 million rubles).

Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev also earned more than Putin but only by a small amount.

Medvedev’s declared income for 2012 was posted as 5,814,351 rubles (some $187,500).
