Andrei Rybakin, 25, was a popular host at the 360° Podmoskovye television channel.

A man has been charged with the murder of Moscow television personality Andrei Rybakin.

Anton Gurvits, 20, pleaded "partially guilty" to Rybakin's murder at a hearing in Moscow's Gagarin District Court on July 17.

He was sent to pretrial detention until September 16.

Police say Gurvits was detained after being shown in CCTV camera footage entering Rybakin's house with him and later leaving the building alone, carrying two laptops.

Rybakin, 25, was a popular host at the 360° Podmoskovye television channel.

He was found dead in his Moscow apartment on July 15.

Moscow police said on July 16 that the suspect in the case had been a longtime acquaintance of Rybakin.

Investigators said Gurvits had been charged with robbery in the past but that the charge was dropped after a settlement was agreed between the plaintiffs and the defendant.
