A judge in Kyiv has rejected a request by Ukrainian prosecutors to place opposition figure Mikheil Saakashvili under house arrest. He was marched home by cheering supporters following the December 11 decision. Saakashvili was arrested on allegations that he colluded with Ukrainian businessmen tied to Russia to topple President Petro Poroshenko, something he denies. (RFE/RL's Ukrainian Service)
