BISHKEK -- Kyrgyzstan's prosecutor-general has resigned amid reports of her husband's alleged involvement in a corruption case.
The Kyrgyz parliament's press service said Aida Salyanova filed a letter of resignation with the president's office on January 19.
National Security Committee spokesman Rakhat Sulaimanov confirmed to RFE/RL on January 20 that Salyanova's husband, Bakyt Abdykaparov, is suspected of involvement in corruption.
No details of the corruption case are known.
Justice Minister Almambet Shykmamatov told RFE/RL that Abdykaparov has been working as his aide since November.
