Saudi Diplomat Shot Dead In Yemen

Reports in Yemen say a diplomat who is a member of the Saudi military delegation has been shot dead in the capital, Sanaa.

Security and diplomatic sources say that the diplomat Khaled al-Anazi and his Yemeni bodyguard died on November 28 after their car was fired on by unidentified assailants.

Sources told Western news agencies that the attackers were dressed in security service uniforms.

The identity of the diplomat has not been given. It is not clear who is behind the attack, but the country is struggling with Al-Qaeda militants who are seeking to expand their influence in the country.
