The death toll in a June 15 fire at a major oil refinery in Russia's Siberia region has risen to eight.

Officials at the 140,000-barrel-per-day Achinsk refinery in the Krasnoyarsk Krai region said on June 17 that the bodies of the two remaining missing workers had been found.

Seven other people were injured in the incident and are currently in hospital. Four of them are reportedly in serious condition.

The fire at the Achinsk facility broke out on June 15 as a result of a gas explosion.

The refinery is owned by state oil giant Rosneft.
