Two Somalis Get Life In Prison In U.S. Over Pirate Attack

A U.S. court has sentenced two Somali men to life in prison for their roles in the pirating of a yacht that finally resulted in the death of four Americans.

The four hostages -- two men and two women -- became the first Americans to die in a raft of hijackings in recent years off Somalia's coast.

Twelve more men are awaiting sentencing over the February incident, with three facing the death penalty.

The pirates were captured by U.S. military forces.

Pirates operating off Somalia's coast have been making millions of dollars in ransoms for hijacked vessels and hostages.
