Report: Four Killed In Damascus Attack

Syrian state television said four people were killed in an explosion in Damascus on September 2 in an attack it described as "terrorism."

According to state TV and residents, the blast took place in the Mehdi area of Abu Remmaneh district.

Video footage from activists showed plumes of white smoke rising from the area.

Earlier, state media reported that a car bomb had exploded on September 1 in a southern suburb of the city, killing at least 15 people.

Rebels and government forces have been involved in a fierce battle for Damascus since July.
