Syrian state media report that Israeli jets have targeted an area west of Damascus from Lebanese airspace.
Two missiles were fired in the attack, which caused no casualties, state television said on November 30.
The official SANA news agency reported that the missiles struck the Sabboura area at dawn, citing an unnamed military source.
The attack was an attempt to "divert attention away from the successes” of the Syrian military, it also said.
The agency did not specify what the missiles struck.
There was no immediate comment from Israel, which is widely thought to have carried out a number of air strikes in Syria in the past few years that have targeted advanced weapons systems believed to be destined for Lebanon’s Shi’ite Hizballah militant group.
The development comes as Syrian pro-government forces have retaken more than one-third of Aleppo’s rebel-held areas since the weekend.
