Three Killed In Russian Caucasus

Three people have been killed and two others wounded in the North Caucasus region of Kabardino-Balkaria on their way to a ski resort.

Regional police spokesman Maxim Ushanov said the tourists were attacked as a mini-van was transferring them from a regional airport to the winter sports resort area of Baksan near Mount Elbrus.

A message on an Islamist website kept by the militant group Caucasus Emirate said the tourists were killed because they "came into the zone of war."
