Three Skinheads To Face Trial In Yekaterinburg

Three local youths in the Russian city of Yekaterinburg will face trial for attacks on people from Central Asia.

The Russian Investigative Committee said on April 18 that investigations into the case are over and a file has been sent to a local court.

Investigators say the three stabbed two Tajik nationals and attempted to burn alive another Tajik in 2010-2011.

All victims survived the attacks.

The three attackers have been charged with premeditated assault, hooliganism and racial and ethnic hatred.

Skinheads in Russia have violently attacked and killed scores of immigrant workers from Central Asia in recent years.
