A military convoy of Kurdish Peshmerga fighters from Iraq arrived at the Turkish town of Mursitpinar, just across the border from the Syrian town of Kobani, early on October 30. The convoy is due to reinforce Kurdish forces battling Islamic State militants in Kobani. The Iraqi Kurdish parliament voted last week to send 150 fighters to Kobani, following Turkey's decision to allow them to cross its territory. (Reuters)
