Turkmen President Gurbanguly Berdymukhamedov has started a two-day official visit to neighboring Uzbekistan.
Turkmenistan's presidential press service reports that during his visit Berdymukhamedov and his Uzbek counterpart Islam Karimov will discuss bilateral ties, including cooperation in the energy sector, natural gas transportation to China, and the Middle East.
It is also expected that the issue of regional security in Central Asia following the withdrawal of NATO troops from Afghanistan in 2014 will be part of the talks' agenda.
