European Council President Donald Tusk has said Russian propaganda is a problem in Eastern and also Western Europe, but that the truth will overcome it. Speaking to RFE/RL's Rikard Jozwiak in Brussels, he drew a parallel with how the Soviet propaganda machine was unable to win during the Cold War. In a wide ranging interview, Tusk also gave encouragement to EU Eastern Partnership countries such as Ukraine and Georgia, saying they could achieve visa-free transit to the EU's Schengen zone if they worked hard in 2016, and added that he saw a ''positive" role from Belarus in the Ukraine crisis.
