Jailed former Ukrainian Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko has ended her hunger strike.
Tymoshenko's daughter, Yevhenia, told journalists in the eastern city of Kharkiv that her mother resumed eating on December 6 due to requests from her supporters.
Tymoshenko started the hunger strike on November 25 to protest Kyiv's decision to postpone signing the EU Association Agreement.
Earlier, a court in Kharkiv adjourned Tymoshenko's tax-evasion trial until December 27 due to her refusal to take part in the hearing.
Meanwhile, an unknown assailant attacked Tymoshenko's lawyer, Serhiy Vlasenko, inside the court building on December 6, splashing an indelible green antiseptic liquid -- known as "zelyonka" in Ukraine -- on his face.
Vlasenko, who was not injured, demanded an investigation.
Tymoshenko, a bitter rival of President Viktor Yanukovych, is already serving a seven-year sentence after being convicted of abuse of power.
The tax-evasion trial focuses on allegations that Tymoshenko evaded millions of dollars in taxes while leading a private energy company in the 1990s.
It has been postponed more than 10 times since April 2012 due to Tymoshenko's refusal to take part.
