A Palestinian man who was allegedly abducted by Israeli agents in Ukraine has appeared for the first time in an Israeli court.
The man, Dirar Abu Sisi, appeared briefly in a courtroom in Petah Tiqwa, south of Tel Aviv.
Israel suspects the man of being a member of Hamas and media reports say that he may hold valuable information about an Israeli soldier held in Gaza for more than four years.
His lawyer said she was informed that Abu Sisi will be indicted on unspecified charges next week.
Abu Sisi, whose wife is Ukrainian, was in Ukraine to apply for citizenship when he disappeared last month after boarding a train.
