Hundreds of people protested in Chicago after a video was released showing how a police officer fired 16 bullets into a black teenager. The killing of 17-year-old Laquan McDonald by a white policeman has led to fears of the kind of turmoil that engulfed Baltimore and Ferguson after young black men were killed or died in police custody.
