The U.S. Treasury Department has imposed sanctions against three men in Pakistan accused of supporting the activities of terrorist organizations.
Two of the men -- Maulawi Adam Khan Achekzai and Aamir Ali Chaudhry -- are citizens of Pakistan.
They are accused by Washington of producing explosive devices for Afghanistan's Taliban, the Pakistani Taliban, and the militant Islamic Movement of Uzbekistan (IMU).
The third man targeted by the sanctions, Qari Ayyub Bashir, was identified as a citizen of Uzbekistan and Afghanistan.
He is accused of coordinating financial support for IMU operations in Afghanistan and Pakistan.
The U.S. sanctions freeze all the U.S.-based assets of the men.
The sanctions also make it illegal for U.S. citizens or residents or U.S.-based companies to do business with the three.
