A freestyle wrestler from Uzbekistan has been stripped of a bronze medal from the 2012 Summer Olympics after testing positive for doping.
Russian media reported on November 7 that 29-year-old Soslan Tigiev was disqualified after testing positive for the banned stimulant methylhexaneamine.
Tigiev, who was born in North Ossetia, took the bronze in the 74-kilogram weight class in the London Games in August.
He also won one silver and one bronze medal in the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games.
Tigiev is the second athlete after shot-putter Nadzeya Ostapchuk of Belarus to be stripped of a medal from the London Games because of doping.
Tigiev's bronze medal now goes to fourth-place finisher Gabor Hatos of Hungary.
