A plan that would see Yemen's President Ali Abdullah Saleh slowly cede power has been postponed indefinitely as the embattled leader refused to sign the deal.
The pact, arranged by way of the Gulf countries, would see Saleh appoint a prime minister from the opposition that would then lead a transitional goverment and work toward holding fresh presidential elections.
Saleh has ruled Yemen for over 30 years.
The country has recently seen an increase in violence, and the opposition has said it will stay in the streets until Saleh steps down from power.
