At Least Three U.S. Soldiers Killed In Iraq Blast


Baghdad, 27 January 2004 (RFE/RL) -- The U.S. military says three U.S. soldiers were killed today by a roadside blast west of Baghdad. A U.S. military spokesman said one U.S. soldier was also injured in the explosion in Khaldiyah, 70 kilometers west of the capital.

Earlier today, a U.S. military spokesman said that "early reports indicate a number of U.S. and civilian casualties." Further details were not immediately available.

RFE/RL has been declared an "undesirable organization" by the Russian government.
