Serbian President And Patriarch Arrive In Moscow


14 November 2004 -- Serbian President Boris Tadic and Serbian Patriarch Pavel arrived in Moscow today.

ITAR-TASS reports that Tadic plans to hold talks with Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov and Emergency Situations Minister Sergei Shoigu. He plans also to meet with Alexei II, the patriarch of Moscow and all Russia.

The meeting will be attended by Serbian Patriarch Pavel, who will then perform a divine service at the temple and house of the Serbian Orthodox Church in Moscow.

The Serbian president also is to visit the State Duma and the Moscow Town Hall. Meetings with nongovernmental organizations are also planned.
