17 November 2004 -- Suspected militants killed 10 policemen in separate attacks today in Afghanistan.

The Reuters news agency quotes Haji Mohammad Wali, a spokesman for the governor of Helmand Province, as saying suspected Taliban militants raided a police post near a hydropower dam, killing six police officers. One militant was also killed in the gunbattle.

In the south-central Uruzgun Province, police say suspected Taliban militants killed four policemen and wounded five others in a remote-controlled bomb blast.
